The Owner:
Lorraine McHargue
On June 6th, 2006, Lorraine opened the doors to her very own jewelry
store, Glitz & Glamour. With nine years of working in the jewelry
business before opening, Lorraine new what she wanted and made it
come to life with special thanks to her supportive husband and son.
Lorraine chose Historic Downtown Acworth as the stores location because
she loves the quaint setting and the friendly atmosphere the small town
has to offer. With trains constantly passing through and a wide variety
of delicious restaurants to enjoy, Lorraine believes downtown Acworth is
the perfect location for Glitz & Glamour.
The Sales Associates:
Meghan Darche
Starting in May 2009, Meghan began sharing her passion for jewelry
with the girls at Glitz & Glamour. Even with being a full-time college
student, Meghan spends every available minute at the store to help
anyone and everyone with any jewelry need.
Sharron Spence
Sharron began working with Lorraine in late 2007. They first met at
church and since have been wonderful friends. With her outgoing
personality and love for jewelry, Sharron is a great asset to Glitz &
Glamour.
Phyllis Darche
Phyllis thought her daughter, Meghan, was having too much fun and
joined the girls at Glitz & Glamour in November 2009. She and Meghan
share an everlasting love for jewelry. Phyllis has background in
computers and several years of retail office and sales experience.
Julia Dinsmore
Julia joined Glitz and Glamour in April 2010. She has always had a
passion for learning about the unique qualities of gems, diamonds, and
precious metals. Julia has built her knowledge by completing several GIA
courses. She also has a Bachelor of Science Degree from Kennesaw State
and over five years experience in fine jewelry. Julia is a Georgia girl
born and raised in Cobb County and enjoys sharing her passion for “Big
Girl Toys” with everyone she meets.
